Country Business Leader

Our client, a major player in the renewable energy industry with operations in more than 30
countries that develops, markets, installs, and finances solar energy solutions to enhance the
quality of life for the 1.8 billion people worldwide who cannot consistently access or afford
traditional electrical grid connections is looking to hire a Country Business Leader

Job Summary:
The Country Business Leader is a senior seasoned sales leader, who will set up, build and
manage the organizations expansion into Nigeria. This is a leadership position which takes full
strategic and tactical responsibility for all business functions of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to hire, train and manage high performing teams.
  • Drive revenue and profitability targets.
  • Design and manage high quality customer journey.
  • Research and build products for Nigerian customers needs
  • Liaise with teams spread across Africa, Asia and Europe
  • Coach and mentor, all direct reports on daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
  •  Ensure that all teams have the required tools and materials for trade execution.
  • Ensure that all competitor activities are countered with effective responses to avoid loss of
    market share.
  • Ensure visibility in the trade is high and as per agreed picture of success at all outlets.
  • Ensure that all costs and expenses are kept within acceptable levels and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Minimum B.Sc in a Business-related field or equivalent
  • At least 3 years international business and expansion experience.
  • Experience in the Solar Industry is a strong advantage for this role.
  • Experience in building businesses for the under-served population.
  • Has experience in working with multinational teams
  • Has excellent Computer knowledge with comprehensive knowledge of Excel and
    PowerPoint
  • Has high innovative skills, thinking out of the box, tests out opinions, cost conscious
  • Is excellently skilled in Planning, Organizing, Prioritizing, Maximizing value and see the
    big picture
  • Is able to develop trust, skillfully builds relations, works on internal & external
    relationships
  • Listens well, coaches’ others and is disciplined in their learning practice
  • Has Operation Excellence and a strong business acumen
