Job Title: Team Lead, Business Development

Location: Lagos State, Nigeria.



As Team Lead Business Development, you will be the front of the company and should have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. You will be responsible for driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients, and also creating a business development strategy focused on financial gain



  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Grow the existing fixed investment portfolio in line with the company’s objectives
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Analyze industry trends with attention to competitors
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Prepare sales pitches, presentation and other documents while driving engagement and closing
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Prepare call memos and client engagement
  • Build and manage a team of Business Development Associates
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
  • Identify, develop and cultivate relationships with customers within the company’s target market
  • Ensure compliance with related policies especially KYC policy
  • Recommend products and services to improve client experience and retention

  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • 3-5 years proven working experience as a business development manager or sales executive handling multiple accounts in a financial institution
  • Proven sales track record
  • Customer-focused and Passionate for client success at all times
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Target driven and performance / result oriented with great market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
  • Relationship Management (including collaboration & teamwork)
